CNC Machinery Relocation – Triple Eight Race Engineering

15 September 2026 | Machinery Relocation • Mechanical Rigging • CNC Machinery

Mackay Rigging & Transport recently completed an internal CNC machinery relocation for Triple Eight Race Engineering, repositioning heavy CNC equipment within their workshop.

Buchanan Mackay led the project as Job Supervisor, working alongside a second experienced rigger. The scope required carefully lifting, skating, and manoeuvring the machinery within the existing workshop environment, including rotating it 360 degrees to achieve the required positioning.

Working around valuable machinery and restricted workshop space required careful planning, communication and precise control throughout the move. Using specialist mechanical rigging and skating techniques allowed the team to safely reposition the CNC machinery without relying solely on conventional crane access.

Precision machinery moving

CNC machinery requires particular care during relocation because of its weight, dimensions, and sensitive components. Our focus isn't simply moving machinery from one position to another—it is planning and controlling the move so equipment can be positioned accurately and efficiently within the available space.

Mackay Rigging & Transport provides mechanical rigging, machinery skating, CNC and industrial machinery relocations, equipment positioning, dogging and crane coordination across Brisbane, Logan, South East Queensland and further afield for project work.
