Kane Constructions – Site Hut Relocation
2 October 2026 | Projects & Insights
When the builder didn’t want the headache of dismantling and relocating multiple site huts, they called in Mackay Rigging & Transport to get the job done.
Our team was brought in to safely prepare and relocate the site huts so they could be accessed by crane and removed from site.
The process involved jacking the huts, positioning mechanical skates underneath and carefully moving them along the existing runway and down a ramp to an accessible lifting location.
Some of the huts presented an additional challenge, as they had been positioned high on brick supports. Our riggers carefully walked the huts down from the brickwork onto the skates, allowing them to be safely relocated without the need for the builder to dismantle the structures.
Once each hut reached the designated location, the crane had clear access to lift and remove it from site.
